And here's some pictures - probably more than you really want to know - so now you can visualise exactly why you get an eye infection ( or an ear infection )when you get a cold. ( Sorry, but I worked in an Ear,Nose & Throat ward for 4 years. )

Sinuses. <g> Sinuses, nose, eyes, tearducts, ears, eustacian tubes (sp?), all part of the same face. What impacts one part with a cold (usually the sinuses with me) can definitely affect other parts. A few years ago, I got a god-awful cold that morphed into a decent sinus infection (bacteria pig-backing into an already-weakened system, I'm assuming), and as an additional "present" from the germs, I got pink-eye! Didn't know what it was, and when I finally gave in and went to the doctor, he said it was a side-effect of the really bad sinus infection. Nasty, nasty bacteria! Lovely, lovely antibiotics! Obligatory costume content: A bunch of us in my local SCA group have decided to band together and reserve a large meeting room at our local library as a space in which we can cut out fabric. We have gotten to the point of not having anything in the garb closet except decades-old "shabby but still kinda wearable" stuff. From the discussions, it sounds like the newest fashion trend in my part of the historical costuming world will be 9th-11th century Norse. I'll finally have a "reason" and not a "someday I'll use it" excuse for the hoard of amber beads, and the lovely brooches from Raymond's Quiet Press. I have a completely "ripened" stash of wool and linen for this, and it's snowing outside (just in time for the weekend!), so it's a great couple of days for historical costuming! --Sue in March-y Montana, who once took a wonderful class on goldwork from Lin Skinner....*sigh*....I'd love to do it again! ;o) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kathy Page" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Computer is back up and running again.
