There are too much older poisoned garment myths:

Hercules died from wearing a poisoned garment given him by his wife Deianira when he was having an affair with another woman.

Jason's ex, Medea, poisoned a garment and gave it as a wedding gift to his new bride Glauce, who died from wearing it.

So, is this the origin, then, of the old "Poisoned Prom Dress" urban legend? _http://www.snopes.com/horrors/poison/dress.htm_ (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/poison/dress.htm) Or this one? _http://www.snopes.com/horrors/poison/coolidge.htm_ (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/poison/coolidge.htm) Maybe I should forward this thread to Snopes.com. :)
