I tried dyeing some off-white I had and got dark gray, I'm sure because it was a polyester blend. The good Swiss eyelets are 100% cotton, but they won't be cheap! Stores that cater to French heirloom sewing carry them. As they are so delicate, I'm not sure how well they would dye, either. Here is one site I found on a quick Google. Haven't dealt with them, as I have a couple of stores locally that carry these. If this search fails, can you use something else?
