Hi Robin and all,
The most recent bits about creating linen "template" pieces is extremely
helpful. I am the lady Arlys referred to (digest 310, message 11) who
is making all those GFDs.....
I recently wrote you and Tasha personally with some fit questions which
your most recent post here has answered beautifully. Thank you! And
may I echo Arlys's remarks regarding your lecture last weekend! It was
truly inspiring! (Enough to inspire 7 GFDs on assorted body shapes and
sizes- ;-) )
The only thing I still need some advice on is the shape of the front and
rear gores. There seems to be some issues with bias to bias seams and
the possibility of these stretching.
If anyone has any thoughts on this matter, I would be grateful to hear
them BEFORE I get too far on all 7 of these GFDs. Obviously, each dress
will have its own unique shape of gores, panels, etc., but I am curious
as to whether the center front and rear gores are symmetrical or "right
angle" shaped.
Thanks!
Laurie
