The silk is very thin but it is warmer than I expected. I don't think it will float up. It tends to kling a bit to the underdress probably because of the pleating.
On 17 April I will be wearing the dress. It should be spring but the weather is still cold so I will find out if the dress will be warm enough... Gail & Scott Finke wrote:

The silk you used seems to be very light. Do you think that the bliauts of the time were made of such light silk? Would it have been warm enough for clothing when there was no central heating?
