Curious...when we were in Austin, TX. in the '90s, I was amazed to see as many shoe/hat reconditioning/ cleaning establishments as Cleaners! Or so it seemed. I made the assumption that this might be typical of most Western states. Once or twice I have seen discreet signs where one might be buying Stetsons, of a hat cleaning service available...
