And I saw a full page ad in the New Yorker for the HBO "Elizabeth I". It is a beautiful photo of Helen Mirren and Jeremy Irons....in bed. The tag line is "The hardest thing to govern is the heart" Yuck! [I guess it won't be until 1912 that mankind learns "the heart will go on."] He looks very good in a lovely doublet with some very un-Elizabethan looking embroidery around the armseye....????????...never seen that before. Still, it's lov-er-ly. The Queen...that's the Queen mind you... is in her Dorothea corset....no doubt fresh from "The Tudor Tailor" :-) and chemise. Uh huh. And earrings. The Queen wears her corset and earring to bed?
