I'm looking for a pattern for fall front trousers suitable for 1812 American Naval wear. A shell jacket pattern would be good too, but I think I can fake it.

There are fall front breeches patterns in "Cut of Men's Clothes" by Norah Waugh, and in "Men's 17th and 18th Century Costume" by R.I. Davis, that you could adapt. Also "Fitting and Proper" and/or "Costume Close Up". The way the fall is made is the same for a great many years. (I've an idea one of the Victorian men's pattern books - at the turn of the 19th century - uses virtually the same pattern.
