I'll have to take a closer look at both the series and the movie with the "pause" button at the ready. I guess I'm thinking "duster = tailoring" and am perhaps assuming that it's more complicated than it is! As it is, if I ever get to this project, I'd have to use ultrasuede or similar - I've never worked with leather and if I'm not certain of the pattern it would be a very expensive mistake if I made one! > > Here's pics, btw: > http://www.formfunction.org/temp3/malcoatfront.jpg > http://www.formfunction.org/temp3/malcoatback.jpg (looks a lot more rumpled > in the photos, for some reason!) > I made the mistake of using suede that was waaaaaaaaay too thick, and still > haven't found the right clasp/buckle thingies for the front of it, grumble. I'm thinking of the full kit - vest, duster over, riding pants, etc. I'm sure there's a Firefly costuming site out there, I just have to look! > > -E OB H-costume: much of the settlers' clothing in Firefly appears to be heavily based on American frontier/19th century clothing (think "Little House On The Prairie"). In one scene one of the heroes wears a very fetching pink floral bonnet as a disguise :P Allison T. _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
