Uppsala, 1938. Bookfinder gave me a positive hit, but it's over $100 USD and that's hard for me to justify right now since I don't (yet) read German. * Inga Hagg. Die Textilfunde aus dem Hafen von Haithabu (Berichte über die Ausgrabungen in Haithabu) Publisher: Wachholtz (1984). ISBN: B0000EATK8 (yes, also in German) * Inga Hagg. Kvinnodrakten I Birka Publisher: Institutiomen for Arkeologi, Gustavianum, Uppsala 1974 ISBN: 9150600028 (This one's in Swedish, but I can absorb more meaning from Swedish than from German for some reason, even though I can speak neither language). [Price: US $130.00] This one is recent too, though as a book about textile tools it's less immediately relevant to a costumer: * Tools for Textile Production from Birka and Hedeby by Eva Andersson (Excavations in the Black Earth 1990-1995, Birk Studies 8, 2003) ISBN 9172092955. [Price US $80.00] There's a few more that I don't know whether they're out of print or not, but they are expensive and/or hard to find. * Stepping Through Time by Olaf Goubitz, Carol van Driel-Murray and Willy Groenman-van Waateringe (Stichting Promotie Archeologie 2001) ISBN 9070104469. Hardback. (I've seen this one for as little as $66 USD, so it'll probably be the one I go for next). I was yearning for Margareta Nockert's book on the Hogom Find (which is in English!), but a friend in Sweden located some copies, and is sending one to me. (I expect to see it sometime this week!
