I wondered if any here could explain to me, if a cotton rayon blend damask
weave would drape the same way as a silk damask? I have this lovely brocade
dark ivory, and it falls a little heavy. It is a dress fabric, i baught it
some years ago.
I thoaght about making something like the yellow damask silk from Koehler,
fig. 424. Its a jacket and skirt. To me the skirt seems to have more of a
dome shaped pannier, than a side extended pannier, what do you think, and
another question, could i use the Diderot Stays for this?
I wanted to make some alterations, i would make the jacket closed with
ribbon lacing. The sleaves i would make pleated cuffs.
