Yes it's a 100% silk, our suppliers claim it to be and our burn tests

I ordered a few samples of their "silk velvet", which arrived yesterday.
Just as I suspected, the bleach test has shown that the velvet has a silk
backing, and a non-silk pile. Lots of short nubbies left floating in the
baby jar of bleach. I did not do a burn test.
And the samples did not look encouraging as to the quality of silk blend
velvet, it was very short, had sticky stuff on the backs of some samples,
and rather stiffer than I recall my other samples of silk/rayon velvet, but
I haven't hunted those down yet to compare directly.
