Pardon the repetition for those who have heard this before...

They're talking about "Medieval Clothing & Textiles," the journal I edit
with Gale Owen-Crocker. The journal is an annual hardback, published every
April. The contents of vols. 1 and 2 are here:

As I noted earlier, my publisher told me last week that Vol. 1 is nearly
sold out; we're talking about the possibility of a reprint, which I
sincerely hope will happen, but I can't make promises.

I'd like to note that two of the papers in the just-released Vol. 2 were
written by sometime members of this list: one by Drea Leed on 15th and
16th c. garment cleaning methods, and one by Danielle Nunn-Weinberg on
Elizabethan women's embroidered jackets.

Members of this list may also be especially interested in the pieces on
early Irish dress (the footnotes to that one serve as a rundown of
virtually everything that's out there on this topic) and Italian
Renaissance "flea furs" (which includes a list of more than 70 documentary
references to these remarkable items). There are other articles that will
be useful to people working in various specialties; we try to cover a
broad range of periods and disciplines in every volume.

Feel free to forward this note around to other lists if you think their
readers will be interested in these books (but please copy me in when you
do).
