I started doing small hand sewing when I was a kid. Never made doll clothes, but did make myself a purse out of an old pair bluejeans. Then in highschool I had 5 years of home economics; ½ time sewing and half cooking. I don't always use a pattern the right way, but I try to sew it together the way it will fit the person I am making it for. I have made myself a couple of costumes, but would rather sew for others. So far I have done them as gifts. I am not good enough to sell them and lately haven't had the time to even turn around.
