I think there's some confusion over terms I took Suzi's description of the extant pieces she saw to mean that they had used the same string/cord that would have been used to make candle wicks (so a relatively fine cord) in the trapunto not that they were doing this knot based surface embroidery, even if it is called Candlewicking.
