Hi all-- I am sorry that there was a repeat of the email. I resent it because my computer said I was not on the h-costume list. I resent it trying to get it to post. I also sent it to the Society-wide Laurel's list, the Eastern Manche and Laurel lists, since no one had posted the link to those lists. Of course, I added my comments with the link. If you are on any/all of those lists, you would receive it multiple times. I am sorry for the inconvenience of seeing it so many times. BTW-- if you are on the Eastern lists, they are sent twice because of the way the email is sent: once to your own email, once to the list, so you will see it. Annoying? At times. But not a beheading offense. I had no intention of angering anyone , just informing them.
As for this painting of Eleonora not being discussed as a subject on this list: since the h-costume list was the source,I thought it would be OK to comment. I did not realize one had to wait for someone specific, or a specific group of list members to make their comments first. I know that I am new to the list, but I was under the impression that anyone could comment on whatever had been posted. Please give me my assigned "commenter" number and I will happily wait my turn the next time. Perilously close to spamming, as far as I'm concerned.... I realize that I may be extra cranky tonight, but for pity's sake, please don't just copy the same ding-donged thing to different lists, especially ones that haven't even been discussing the bloody thing. --sue/maire ----- Original Message ----- From: "monica spence" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Historical Costume" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Saturday, June 03, 2006 5:42 PM Subject: [h-cost] Re: New Portrait of Eleonora of Toledo > > > You know... > > I can't be called an expert on art, but this does not look like Eleonora of > Toledo, 2nd Duchess of Florence, to me.
