Cathy at Fashion Fabrics, here in St. Louis, tells me there are a few spaces left in this workshop next weekend (July 15-16). It occurs to me this announcement may not have reached the Civil War groups or any specialty costuming lists for the 19th century -- and I don't work in that period, so I don't know the groups to send this to. I would very much appreciate people forwarding this message to the appropriate lists/groups/fora. St. Louis is a reasonable drive from many Midwestern cities.

You will study a few original garments, watch a film presentation, then make "samples" of various steps and techniques. Vivian will have a garment in various stages of construction that you will study as you work on your samples. There will be hand outs that you can refer to, and there will be photos of originals in the first part of the presentation. The most important part of the workshop is the hands on help. There is a fee of $40 per person, with a limit of 15 ladies. Please register by the week of July 1st.
