I'm sad, too, as I've been a customer of Lorina's.
 

But the Big Three is actually now the Big Two, you know--Vogue/Butterick  got 
bought out by McCall's, even though the name still exist. And even the Big  
Two are REALLY hurting.  Let's face it, people just aren't sewing that much  
anymore.
 
In Simplicity's defense, not all of their historicals are "dreadful"--the  
Martha McCain American Civil War patterns are good--very well researched.   And 
we are all waiting for her 18th century American patterns to come out.
