Hi - thought I would add another 2 cents to the topic,

a lot of schools do dock students for using a wiki, any wiki...It is not a
primary or documented source. But as long as the students use more then a wiki
as a source, most profs will let them get by with it. Even the founder of
Wikipedia says not to use it as a source. But it is a fun site to vosit and as
long as we are not writing a masterpiece...whats the harm?

Someone used Wikipedia as a source in a message, so I thought I would add my
two cents...

Wikipedia is not really a good source. If a college student quotes
Wikipedia, they lose points. Wikipedia can be edited or information added
by anyone. The website started as a copy of a 1910s? encyclopedia that was
put online. The owner of the site, decided to let anyone update the
information.
