Hi,
These are great pictures, but I haven't been following the thread, so when it said "Military Bases" I was thinking, you know, building compounds with barracks and hangars and garages full of troops and airplanes and trucks! I am not in 16th C (yet) -- what does it mean to call these garments "military bases"?
Thanks!

I finally got a response from the museum (the curator is in Europe - whaaaa!)

Here are the pictures. Enjoy!

Would love to hear your opinions. I am waiting to hear back from the textile expert in Sweden. He has offered to take a look at the pictures - but said of course it would only be a limited opinion since he could not handle the garment himself.

Cheers,

Sg
