Interesting observation about the similarities of this show and A Knight's
Tale....... Funny fact is the girl playing the romantic lead "Henriette"
was the female Blacksmith _IN_ "A Knight's Tale"...
THANK YOU! I knew I recognized her, but I *could not* place her, and I
didn't recognize or catch all the names of people in the credits, which went
by too fast anyway. :-)
I agree with the previous critics -- great entertainment, but even a
clueless costume fan like me can tell that it's a modern interpretation
designed to appeal to modern audiences who are *not* costume experts. Lovely
colors and fun hair styles. The one gown that Henriette wears (green?) could
have used something under it though -- the hoop made such a sharp line.
What is with that black neck wrapping, anyway? He wears it with every single
type of outfit, from ball-fancy to prison wear. It made me think he must
have a big tattoo there, or something!
