Ann Wass,

Did you go to that regional Costume Society meeting in Baltimore when they had the Ballet Russes costumes at the Fine Arts Museum? If so, did you tour Evergreen and recall the artist who painted the attic theater? I was watching a show on HGTV about the best bathrooms in the world. Evergreen's bathroom was named best bathroom in the world!

I am interested in what seems to be a trend of artist painting attics in the 1920s. The John and Mabel Ringling Mansion attic in Sarasota, Florida was painted by a popular illustrator of children's books. He also painted sets for the Broadway plays in the 1920s.
