Whatever. Either way, I think it is fairly apparent that none of us has ever
seen any portraits of the oft painted Catherine with hips that look like
shelves and a disproportionaly small waist.
Or are there some kinky paintings of her out there somewhere that I have
somehow managed to miss in my scholarly studies?
My opinion, which is only that, my opinion, is that based on the evidence
we have it is highly unlikely that her waist was actually only 13 inches in
circumference. I am throwing my opinion in the ring with the rest of us who
believe that the 13" waist measurement for her was conjecture by an ill
informed person or some romanticized Victorian thought.
If we had paintings of her that showed her with a silhouhette of a tightly
corset trained woman who had been practicing waist training like some
fetishists do, then I might be able to approach it a little differently. Ha,
how many kids did she have? I don't know about any of the rest of you guys, but
I have had 5, and I guarantee you that it is highly unlikely that she had 5
kids and wound up with a 15 inch waist, much less a 13 inch waist.
Hey, maybe she had one of those iron corsets after all...
There. Two burning questions answered.
