The period is just a passing interest so I don't know much about it but I think I have seen this bright of blue in either an embroidery piece or a piece of material from roughly that period but I can't remember where or when. I have been focusing on ceramics of late and when searching the web I come across these sort of things and file them in my mind. I am planning on modifying Simplicity 4092, the gold dress "A". I periodically look for ideas for the stomacher area and liked the blue design in the picture. De
