Actually, the main draw for me is that it's within driving distance of where I live. I SO wish there was more costuming stuff near Kansas City. (Is a Dickens Fair too much to ask?) But I'll be happy to tell them it's all about the historical lectures. :) Dawn and I wanted to go last year when it was in Des Moines, but I was dealing with a broken foot and the attendant medical bills and couldn't spare the price of registration.
