Well, it took a whole dang day just to figure out how to make it. Another day to put the "horsehair braid" in the 24 yards of silk. (there is one ~2" and one 1/2" braid in opposite ends - uggh I hate this kind of sewing....essentially 48 yards of machine sewing straight lines.) Then, several of my fellow meticulous engineer friends offered to come help do the measuring and handsewing of 3/4 of the ruff. (Boy, you know you have good friends when they pop up to do this kind of stuff - neither one of them has much interest in this kind of sewing.) I figure....about 30 hours total. If you did it every day, you'd probably be much more efficient.
