I'm not a learned as most of you are, and I don't have the priviledge of being involved in renfaire or anything but just interested in clothing as it relates to history, as a way of entering into the lives of the people. Not like throwing on a garment like we do today was it? it must have taken an hour to get dressed back then. Also, Was the "forepart" like a vest?
