I strongly recommend shopping for *crystal* in Prague. And hitting
the antique shops along the river. Dine in Mala Strana section of the
city. The place is so cheap even a posh section of town is a bargain.
The Museum of Decorative Arts has a small but elegant fashion
collection including the dress I'm copying for my wedding dress. It's
mainly 19th & 20th c but still a distinctive style differing from
Milan, Paris, London & New York.
Look in the church on the Charles river for renn & medieval repro
jewelry & knicknacks (avoid the pickpockets they are fierce &
persistent). Ditto Prague Castle & every other cool old building.
And about the pickpockets... I mean it. Even NYC in the bad old days
of the 70s & 80s had less aggressive pickpockets.
