This type of cap is well documented by Suzanne Gousse of La Fleur de
Lyse patterns, and is part of their cap repertoire pattern. Suzanne, like
the McPherson's, has examined hundreds of extant garments. She has worked
closely with many of the Parks Canada archaeologists and curators, as well
as museums in France.
