With a lot of ease, in fact. Proportionally, they were the same as a normal shoe. The heel was about 8" high, the sole was 7 1/2". There was a curved cut-away under the toe to aid in stepping and they were made from polyurethane, a rubberish compound that was sturdy enough without the weight. Walk? Hell, I could run in them and the way I was dresed back then, I needed to be able to run! These shoes were shoes, not a boot or ankle covering thing and I had no fear of them. Funilly enough, some years later when designing hooves that were almost as high for a costume, I built the things right up over the calf with strapping and buckling to prevent ankle injury...ah, how cowardice takes us with age... -C. ------------------------------------------------------------ This email was sent from Netspace Webmail: http://www.netspace.net.au _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
