Sounds about right. The whole Bay Area, not just SF, is full of restaurants, artisan bakeries, coffee shops, gourmet grocery stores, and what have you.
I forgot to say, I may have thought of the Jade Villa in Oakland (which, to digress again, is unusual in serving a full dim sum on weekdays), because there is a fabric store near there called Silk Road. I haven't been there in awhile, as I do much of my East Bay fabric store crawling when I go to the dentist, and Silk Road is not conveniently located for that. Anyway, it's a small store, but has some nice fabrics, and a decent silk selection.
