I started to make this once upon a time, and have since lost the entire project. 47" would be mid calf on me, and I'm medium height. I think mid calf is about the right length, from the pictures I see.
Also, my pattern does not have the adjustment lines that the pattern instructions claim are present. Does it work better to shorten at the hem, or about the middle of the pattern piece?
IIRC, most of the pieces are rectangles. Does it matter if you take out from the middle or the bottom?
