on this list, though I haven't seen her name recently.
Yes, she is  very good for this stuff.

For 17th century particularly, look at genre paintings
buy Jan Steen and others. If you don't see a lot of
difference between 1540 and 1670, it's safe to say
peasant clothes didn't change much over that stretch
of time.
