The veil is almost always black, unless it is a patterned bag instead of a veil. And while black velvet is an option, I've been using black taffeta, and for a doll taffeta or another black silk might drape better at a smaller size than even silk/rayon velvet. Here's an image with a patterned bag http://www.kimiko1.com/research-16th/FrenchHood/1520/YoungGirlAstrInst.html However, looking at the online detailed image of Elizabeth as Princess, I would have to say it is a black veil, as I can see a subtle difference in the dark colors where the veil would be. Have fun, and I hope you share photos of your work when you are done with Elizabeth! Kimiko ____________________________________________________________________________________ Boardwalk for $500?
