Since I haven't gotten around to finishing the duct-tape-and-spray-foam double yet, I have a workbasket. ;-)
Currently in the workbasket is a veil that I will someday finish hemming, and the yellow Moselund dress. I first built this dress back in...2004, I think, for Northshield's first Coronation (SCA stuff). It's a gold wool tricotine (which is not period, I know, but it was the right finish and the right price) 13th c. gown modeled after the Moselund piece. Alas, since 2004 I have lost 35 or so pounds and gained 20 back in a different distribution (for instance, the bosomage is more substantial than it's ever been, somehow). So I am re-engineering the upper part of the gown AGAIN so that it fits properly. And I need to wear it on Saturday. ;-)
After that's done, next is a 12th century gown out of dark blue wool with rose silk sleeve lining and gold silk trim, red wool hose, and a new chemise for the outfit that's actually made of *white* linen this time (as opposed to cotton-candy pink, or yellow, or that weird pinkish color that Crayola calls "orchid").
My consort complains that I'm never happy with any of my dress patterns. I had to point out to him that every time I get a new pattern that I like, I change shape enough to render it unusable.
