You folks are gems. I passed all the recommendations that came to me -- books, websites, and people -- to my colleague. She writes, "What a wealth of resources!---I do thank you and all of your friends for the references and input." She also says that beyond what she'll need for her paper, she's becoming interested in blackwork for its own sake, and is very glad for all the additional resources.
Depending on what exactly makes it into the paper, there is a chance she will wish to cite individuals who assisted. If that happens, I will contact those people directly. I have saved all the e-mails. Jane, I've given her your contact information directly, since you offered it, and I think also that your website will be much more useful to her than she could have anticipated when she asked me for books.
