I have photos of the underwear I can show privately if that would help.

Otherwise, "Cut of Women's Clothes", "Cut of Men' s ditto", "Corsets 
and Crinolines" and any of the books by Linda Baumgarten, Hunnisett, 
Arnold would be a good starting point.
