has been canceled because of the incoming hurricane. ************** Ooooo...good luck with that! I just went thru Hanna...which was nothing. Ike is much bigger a deal. Be safe and prepare for him! *********************** I do have a question - the iron I have doesn't steam as well as I like (aside from burping water onto my fabric - yuk) and usually when I want steam I have a small bottle of water on hand to mist. Does anyone see a problem with this? I usually get a better coverage that the iron will manage without huge wet spots. ******************* You must avoid this or you will spot the silk. You've got to get a good iron. It's as important as good scissors and a decent sewing machine. I have a Rowenta that I got at the fabric store....Hancock's or Jo Anne's, I can't remember. It's very rarely spits on the fabric, and usually when I have put too much water in it. Iron something else before you do the silk to make sure it's not leaking water. **************Psssst...Have you heard the news?
