Sorry - missed first message...
 
There's a bit in the National Museums of Scotland, in Edinburgh, but you'd  
have to check whether it's on display or not.  Likewise The Armouries in  
Leeds, though it's of the coat of plate variety (I know there are a couple of  
coats and a hat on display there).
 
I agree that Hardwicke is a must.  
 
One of the problems with tudor clothing outside London is that it's likely  
that many historic houses have little bits - the odd doublet, etc - but it will 
 be very spread out.  It's also quite hard to keep track of, as they will  keep 
selling it!
 
The snowshill collection (if you can find it) is definitely worthwhile  though.

I think it's now at Berrington Hall, a National Trust  property in 
Herefordshire (near the Welsh border), but it can only be visited  by prior 
arrangement. I visit the area every year, have been round the Hall  but not 
managed to see the costume collection.

Haddon Hall in  Derbyshire is worth seeing as well as Hardwick
