I have a new friend whose daughter inherited a large wooden loom - which unfortunately was disassembled.

Does anyone know of a website for general information about reassembling a very large loom? He knows almost nothing about the loom (it's in another state). His daughter could not find any markings on it. It was manually operated. Disassembled, it fit (barely) in the back of a pickup.

Is there a website he can use to get some idea of how to put it back together?

Thanks,

I would recommend that he look for a Weavers' Guild in his area. That way he can actually find someone who weaves and can draw on their expertise. Here's the web site for the Handweavers' Guild of America http://www.weavespindye.org/ ; other source for guilds are Spin-off Magazine http://spinoffmagazine.com/ and Handwoven http://www.interweave.com/weave/handwoven_magazine/ .
