Dye remover usually donesn't work very well on industrial dyes. Red or blue would probably end up showing through, but you'll get a muddy colour. If I were you, I'd try overdyeing on a swatch - that way, you can really saturate it with dye and see how the colours work. Also, keep in mind that the pile represents a great amount of fiber to be dyed; it's going to take at least twice the amount of dye than you'd normally use for regular fabric the same size. that is about to be re-purposed to a veil and partlet. the silk has > yellowed significantly, and I prefer this yellowing as white against > Usually silk yellowing is pretty permanent.
