Dye remover usually donesn't work very well on industrial dyes. Red or blue
would probably end up showing through, but you'll get a muddy colour. If I
were you, I'd try overdyeing on a swatch - that way, you can really saturate
it with dye and see how the colours work. Also, keep in mind that the pile
represents a great amount of fiber to be dyed; it's going to take at least
twice the amount of dye than you'd normally use for regular fabric the same
size.

Usually silk yellowing is pretty permanent. If you're going to cut it, then
you can get a swatch and try washing it.
