Published in 2008... has anyone looked at this set yet? I've only got the first volume (of three) so far. I thought the essay on 'Byzantine Clothing' was pretty good, and had the expected references. The essay on 'Medieval Clothing' is quite extensive-- more than I want to read in one sitting--but most of the sources in its Further Reading section are older (with the exception of "Medieval Fabrications: Dress, Textiles, Clothwork, and Other Cultural Imaginings," 2004), the Web Resources listing is mediocre, and the publisher had the unhappy idea of adding a list of films with medieval themes <gag, cough> without any annotations.

I'd be interested in hearing what other folks think of this title.

Suzanne
