Good machine. Step up (i.e. slightly more modern) than my 801, so may have a few more sti tches (offhand mine has 8, but I rarely use most of them). Relatively indestructable - I use my 801 on padding and it rarely complains - but check it's in working order. As rough guide (I've been watching them over here for a while in advance of getting a second one to use as a back up), they're generally going for around the £150 - £200 price tag at the moment in the UK. Same applies to the older models staring with a 7, which do less still. Stitches will be limited, but not as limited as most other mechanical machines I've used. And feet are still available from bernina direct, or from assorted ebay sellers and the like. But you can't use modern bernina feet, as the design has changed. Anyone here familiar with the model 830? There is an auction for one here in Wisconsin. Opening bid is $20. _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list [email protected] http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
