I assume you're looking for sources for Renaissance costuming? Try Anderson's "Hispanic Costume 1480-1530"--she says "camisa" or, sometimes, "alcandora"--or "Daily Life in Portugal in the late Middle Ages" (Univ. of Wisconsin Press, 1971). If your library doesn't own them, you should be able to get them fairly easily on Inter Library Loan. You'll want to read Anderson anyway because she has a lovely compilation of pictorial evidence and several pages of text about style and embellishment.
