She is not dead. I have seen many deceased people in my work as a nurse. She is very much alive. She is uncomfortable.
The ribbon is around her waist, not to a chair or anything. The flowers are pinned to the ribbon. If she were dead, her eyes and the area under her nose would be sunken. Her eyes would not be focused. She is much younger than the man she is married to-- she looks very young. The flowers don't look fresh but they could be dried if this is a winter wedding.
