Not wanting to be fooled again with stereoview purchases...when were stereoviews photos first hand-tinted? I really want for my bridal site a nice representation of different photographic types of bridal photos. I have come across two that are hand-tinted stating that they are from the 1850s-1860s. I did an initial search on Google but I must not be putting in the correct keywords.
I would like to make a category of bridal stereoviews. I have a full series (boxed set) of 25 courtship to wedding Edwardian stereoviews. I feel so lost on this type of photography. And would you believe we inherited a viewer and large collection of stereoviews from my father-in-law. I have also purchased a few of the textile industry when I was researching that topic. Any help is much appreciated.
