Oh, this is actually useful, thank you! It confirms that it's speculation
according to people who are interested in citations, which is definitely a step
in the right direction.

Hi, I am new to the list. I joined because I found something new to add to this
thread. Here:

is a new posting that talks about the perfume cones in several pictures.

I've recently become interested in Egypt and was really wondering about the
references to the cones also. Seems so messy and inconvenient for such a clean
and orderly people.

I used to make a lot of costumes for plays in high school and college but have
gotten out of the habit recently. I still love historical fashion whenever I
encounter it.
I look forward to reading more here from you all.
