On the topic of ruffs and cuffs, I wonder about the lace on this cuff http://www.flickr.com/photos/22977...@n08/2724203114/sizes/l/in/set-72157606495042137/I'm no lace expert, but embroidery on net, especially hexagonal/octagonal net that fine strikes me as more 18th century than 16th century.
