Yes, Montreal is something like 8-10 hours away from Fredericton, much closer to Maine (and Vermont), if there's an interest in the SCA. Lyndhaven is pretty active and holds regular SCA events. They're nice people, they often come and play with us in Montreal :-) As for other Canadian costume-related events, I don't know of any, even in Montreal.
