Since my retirement about three years ago, I have been continuing my interest in historical costume by making Costume in miniature; the series is captured in a collection I have named "Cut Down to Size."? To date I have recreated style and splender for about 120 characters which are modeled for the most part on dolls. About the only 'model I have not used is Barbie precisely because the form is so ridged. "Oz's suggestion would work well if the model is only to wear Costume for this period.? The body would of course have to be rewrapped for other periods. ? You are aware?I assume of the series of Historical Costumes for barbie that are "out there", including wigs. There are also at least two books of costume for contemporary popular dolls that?I know of for this sort of project.? I do not use them myself because the patterns are not historically sound.
